At Communications and Wireless Networks Lab (CWNlab), our passion is to significantly advance the telecommunication and networking systems by introducing new frameworks, schemes, and innovative applications. Our research effort bridges several areas such as telecommunications, modern wireless networking, and signal processing. Our research interests include:
  • Compressive Sensing
  • Wireless Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks
  • Modern Error Control Codes (LDPC and Rateless Codes) and Their Applications
  • Cognitive Radio Networks

Opening

Sept 2011

There is an opening for a strong PhD student to join our research group in Spring/Fall 2012. Enthusiastic  and self-motivated students with strong background on at least one of the following topics are encouraged to contact Dr. Rahnavard for more information.

  • Compressive Sensing
  • Error-Control Coding
  • Cognitive Radio Networks
  • Sensor/Ad-hoc Networks

    Female students are especially encouraged to apply.


 CWNlab members will present 5 papers at the upcoming MILCOM conference in Baltimore, Nov 8-10.

 

ECE Seminar

We are launching a new ECE Seminar Program. Seminars will be held once a month to encourage graduate students presenting their works. Please contact Dr. Rahnavard if you have any questions or to volunteer yourself for future seminars.
