Dr. Nazanin Rahnavard

Dr. Rahnavard is an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN) at Oklahoma State University and the director of the Communications and Wireless Networks (CWN) Lab. She has joined the faculty of ECEN in August 2007. She received her BS and MS from Sharif University of Technology in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and her Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007.

Dr. Rahnavard is the recipient of 2007 Outstanding Research Award from the Center of Signal and Image Processing at Georgia Tech and her bio is listed in the 2010 edition of Who's Who in America.

Dr. Rahnavard has interest and expertise in variety of research topics in communications and networking areas. She is particularly interested in modern error-control coding techniques and their applications, compressive sensing, cognitive radio networks, and ad-hoc/sensor networks.

 

Graduate students

Ali Talari, PhD Student

Ali received his B.S. and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Kashan Univeristy Kashan Iran, and Sharif University of technology ,Tehran Iran, respectively. He joined CWNLab in Jan 2008 and is currently working on modern FEC codes and their applications, and compressed sensing areas.

Behzad Shahrasbi, PhD Student

Behzad received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of technology. He joined CWNLab in Aug 2008 is currently working on cognitive radio networks, and compressive sensing areas.

Betelhem Matieos, MS Student

Betelehem received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arba Minch University, Ethiopia and joined CWNLab in Aug 2008. Betelehem's area of interest are compressed sensing and wireless sensor networks.

Alireza Boloorchi, MS Student

Alireza received his BS in Computer Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. He joined CWNLab in Jan 2009 and is currently working in security in Network on chips and wireless sensor networks areas.

Henok Leben, MS Student

Henok received his BS in Electrical Engineering from BahirDar University, Ethiopia on June, 2006. Henok's area of interest are Power management of wireless sensor networks, Body sensor networks and wireless sensor networks. He joined CWNLab in Jan 2009.
